Meet Mark 

Mental health is health. I believe in health. Whole health, mind, body, and spirit.

I am a healer. My professional approach is informed by 20+ years of work as a professional counselor, and 50 years of being alive on Earth.  

In 1991, when I was 22 years old, I attended the Temple Beautiful Program in Scottsdale Arizona with my mother who was very ill with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma at the time. During that two-week visit I learned the shocking truth that traditional allopathic medicine falls far short of providing what we need to achieve wellness. Nutrition, meditation, exercise, nutraceuticals, massage, Yoga, play, art, dance, sleep, friendship, love, laughter, to name a few things, are what we need to achieve wellness.

When someone entrusts their care to me I work earnestly to see the whole person. You can be the expert of you. If I look and listen properly, we can find your personal course to recovery. You are not a statistic, nor are you a product of an actuary table. There has never been, nor will there ever be, another you. Your path is unique. Let's find it together!  

Some of my areas of interest include: cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, food as medicine, vitamins, minerals, and herbs for total health restoration, the influence of the gut microbiome on thoughts and feelings, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, body-based trauma recovery, and the struggles that we men often have communicating our feelings to those we love and to ourselves.
